Lower Case Blues brings their deep-groove Blues/Jam sound to The Blue Note Grill in Durham on Sunday, Feb 15 from 5–7 PM for an early-evening set packed with soulful improvisation, funky energy, and authentic blues spirit.
Hailing from the Mid-Atlantic and performing since 2003, Lower Case Blues blends traditional blues roots with a modern, improvisational edge. Founding members B.J. Muntz (bass, vocals) and Jake Banaszak (guitar) built their sound on a shared love of classic 60s and 70s music, going on to share stages with legends and inspirations including Buddy Guy, Blues Traveler, and Robert Randolph. Years of touring, recording, and relentless live shows have earned them a reputation as one of the hardest-working blues trios around.
There’s no better place to experience them than the Blue Note Grill — widely respected as one of the Triangle’s premier blues listening rooms, known for its intimate vibe, great sound, and loyal community of blues lovers. Come early, settle in, enjoy the atmosphere, and let Lower Case Blues deliver a Sunday session full of groove, soul, and seriously good music.
Tickets are $15 general admission
$12 for Triangle Blues Society members.
